Frequently Asked Questions

What is the length of a session?

50 minutes long, starting on the hour.

How often are sessions?

I ask that my clients meet on a weekly basis for at least 6 weeks, after which we can explore bi-weekly sessions as an option if desired. The number of sessions varies from person to person, though my style tends to favor longer term work. Some may find relief within a few months, while others need support for an extended period. Everyone goes at their own pace and has different goals. For those wanting to do deeper work, it takes time to build trust before we explore more difficult topics.

Do you accept my insurance?

Individual Therapy

I am in network with United, Aetna, and Cigna. If you have a different insurance provider, or if you don’t wish to use your insurance, my individual therapy rate is $160/session.

Couples/Relationship Therapy

I do not bill insurance for couples therapy. My couples therapy rate is $200/session. If you or your partner(s) do not have United, Aetna, or Cigna coverage, you may be eligible for out-of-network benefits. I recommend you contact your insurance company to ask about whether you have out-of-network benefits. If you have out-of-network benefits, you are welcome to submit a superbill (a receipt that I provide you with of your payment for services) to your insurance for reimbursement according to your out-of-network coverage.

I am happy to discuss insurance coverage, billing, and superbill questions at any time. I may direct you to contact your insurance company directly but welcome any questions you have.

What if I’m contacting other therapists too?

Not every therapist is right for you, and that’s okay! My first priority is to make sure we are a good fit for each other. When possible, I recommend requesting consultations with several therapists to get a sense of their style before deciding who to book an intake appointment with. Consultations with me are no-pressure.

If we move forward after our consultation, I’ll check in about how things are going for you—our relationship, the therapy process—and if it feels like we are a good fit.

Are you available in person or virtually?

I offer in-person and virtual therapy—whichever you prefer! I am available in the office on Monday mornings, Tuesdays, and Fridays. On Monday afternoons, Wednesday, and Thursdays I am available virtually only.

My office is located at 1872 S Pearl Street Denver, CO 80210. My office is located on the second floor, accessed via one flight of stairs. Restrooms are gender-inclusive.
